Sam Hockett was born on August 9, 1903, in Okeene, Oklahoma. He first came to Saudi Arabia for IBI, and following a tour here signed on with Aramco as a Cable Tool Driller, Oil Operations Division.
Surviving are his wife Ora M. Hockett, who arrived in the Field December 1, 1951; and four grown sons and one daughter.
