TMI Episcopal

Founded in 1893, TMI Episcopal is the oldest Episcopal college preparatory school in the Southwest. TMI's excellent educational community is based on five core values that form the foundation that the pillars of TMI are built upon: Wisdom, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Reverence.

At the forefront of cutting-edge, new teaching methods, TMI's faculty incorporates tablet use, smart boards, guest speakers, and experiences outside the classroom. There are 13 sports for Upper and Middle School students and the campus houses a state-of-the-art weight room; eight-lane, all-weather track; fitness center; multi-purpose room for cheer; two gymnasiums and an indoor swimming pool. TMI offers both five-day and seven-day boarding options in the Residential Life program for students in grades 8-12 and the beautiful dormitories are designed with custom furniture, granite bathroom countertops, polished concrete floors, ceiling fans, washers and dryers in each facility, and Internet access.

At TMI, girls and boys in grades 6-12 experience small classes, honors and AP courses, and a full range of extracurricular activities including community service and theater, choir and band. The outdoor classroom gives students the opportunity to conduct archaeological digs in the nature center, explore the skies in the observatory, and cultivate a garden in the Hill Country. The competitive athletic program at TMI emphasizes teamwork, work ethic, sportsmanship, and commitment. About a quarter of the student body participates distinguished JROTC program, which boasts the award of Honor Unit with Distinction. The optional JROTC program gives students leadership training and skills for success in college and beyond. The wide variety of academics and activities allows students to explore their interests and enjoy a strong sense of community as they grow and learn. College counselors work one-on-one with students, guiding them through the college scholarship and admission process.
