The endangered mountain gorilla can be viewed in two countries, Rwanda and Uganda. We will be going to Uganda and staying at the Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, near the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This trip is a quick 3 night visit to Uganda to visit one of the gorilla families in this park.
Spend a day tracking endangered mountain gorillas, which share 97.7% of our DNA, spending up to an hour with a family headed by a silver back male. We had a successful trip in 2018. We had a 2 hour trek to reach our family and were able to spend an hour of quality time with that family of 15. When you look into the eyes of a mountain gorilla, there is no mistaking the bond that exists between primate and man — and no escaping the poignant reminder that these creatures lie on the brink of extinction.
This trip has been set up as an option to be added to the Kenya Safari for December 18 – 27, 2020. But, could also be taken as a separate trip.
This trip is not sponsored by Aramco ExPats or any Saudi Aramco organization.
