Glenn Karl Jones passed May 18, 2023 in Illinois on his way to his favorite ham radio convention. He was born in Houston, Texas on November 2, 1951. He and his twin sister, Glenna, had that special "twin" relationship and felt each other's happiness and pain. During his earlier years at Jefferson Davis High School, he was involved in math and science clubs and the ROTC. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Houston. A few years later, Glenn went to work for Aramco and moved to Saudi Arabia.

While in Saudi, Glenn continued his leadership with the Boy Scouts. He received the coveted Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America for his dedicated years of service.

After 32 years in Saudi, Glenn retired to the United States, and moved to Wisconsin where he built his dream home. He loved photography, motorcycling and traveling. He joined Saving Grace Lutheran Church and continued his volunteer work with the Men of Saving Grace and the Video/Audio department. Glenn was an active member of the Eau Claire Amateur Radio Club (ECARC) and Chippewa Valley Amateur Radio Club (CVARC). He was also a valued member of ARES/RACES Emergency Services.

In his giving spirit, his body was donated to Lamplight Donor Services.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 24 at Saving Grace Lutheran Church, 3735 Jeffers Rd, Eau Claire WI. Visitation will be at 9:00am with a luncheon following the service. The service will also be live-streamed.
