Claude David Birkhead
Claude David Birkhead, 79, of Victoria, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2007 in Aransas Pass. He was born July 5, 1928, in Lagrange, the son of Claude and Mary Elizabeth Birkhead.
He graduated from UT-Austin with a B.S. in engineering and he received his M.B.A. from Stanford University. He was a retired chemical engineer with Aramco. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea and was very active with the Marine Corps League for many years.
He is survived by his son, David Birkhead and wife Laura Jaffe of Oakland, Calif.; grandson, Michael Birkhead and granddaughter, Jessica Lance, both of Oakland, Calif.; and niece, Claudia Eckel of Victoria.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Memorials in memory of Claude may be made to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
