Aramco Annuitant Henry Don Cook passed away on February 5, 2008 at home in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

I think everyone was thinking of Henry this morning; maybe deep down we knew that this was the day he was going to leave us for heaven. I called the Cook's at about 9:30 am EST and their phone had a busy signal. I left a message and Allison retuned my call about a minute later. She said her Dad had passed away about ten minutes earlier very peacefully. Henry's breathing had been labored, but he woke and then closed his eyes and passed away.

Allison and Anne were both with Bonny and Peter was arriving about noon from Florida. Allison said Bonnie was calm.

The Celebration Service will be 11 am Saturday 9, 2008 at Fentress Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas. For discounted hotel rates, please contact the Cooks by email or telephone.

After the celebration, there will be a barbeque at the Cook's house.

No flowers please. Henry expressed his wish that if you care to, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the Fort Smith Public Library - he who read a book every other day was most distressed the Library does not have money for new books.

We will all miss Henry's love, smile and intelligence. Click here to read more about Henry.
