Ronald V. Drenning

Ronald V. Drenning grew up in Robertsdale, Pennsylvania. He was one of 10 children. After high school, he went into the U.S. Army and fought in Korea. Ron and Araceli got married on September 19, 1953, five months after they met on a blind date in New York. Shortly after, they moved to Miami, Florida, where he worked as a welder for West Indies Shipping and eventually moved to West Palm Beach with the company. After West Indies folded, he went to work for ARAMCO as a project manager and worked in the Middle East. Later on, he worked for various corporations (Ford, Monsanto, etc.) as a project/construction manager and supervised the building of various facilities in Thailand, Africa, China, and the Philippines. He retired in 2001, and they moved to Lawrenceville to be near their daughters, Linda and Terry. He had a son who predeceased him 15 months ago (Ronald Drenning, II). He has four grandchildren: Ronald Drenning, III, Bradley Drenning, Chelsea Cienfuegos-baca, and Shelby Drenning. His first great-grandchild will be born in October of this year.
