We welcome you to 2024 with some great news and updates from Lahore on the Aramco Retirees Association – Pakistan (ARAP). In December 2023, we successfully launched and opened applications to our friends and colleagues to join ARAP in the spirit of reuniting and reigniting our everlasting and unbreakable Aramco bonds and friendships. Our initial phase of membership registration received a very healthy response.

ARAP in Lahore conducted a casual get-together at Defense Club J, Lahore on 26th January 2024. This event was organized locally specifically to meet and greet the members who were visiting Lahore during wintertime. The attendees included the Executive Committee members and their spouses: Mr.& Mrs. Muhammad Idrees, Mr. & Mrs. Riaz Ahmed, Mr. & Mrs. Abdul Waheed Sheikh, Syed Arshad Naeem, and Malik Fazal Mehmood. The visiting members were Mr. & Mrs. Farooq A Khan, Mr. & Mrs. Amjad Bilal, Mr. & Mrs. Syed K.M. Gilani, Mr. & Mrs. Khaled Farooque, while Mr. & Mrs. Farouq Ibrahim and Mr. & Mrs. Muhammad Ayub joined from Faisalabad.

Muhammad Idrees welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their interest and participation. Everyone enjoyed an evening of live Barbeque, Turkish kebabs, and a variety of other main courses followed by Kheer which was served as a special Lahorie dessert. Enjoying the cold yet pleasant weather, after dinner, the group moved to the beautiful coal-heated tent to catch up on old times. The rest of the evening was spent hearing stories from Saudi Arabia while enjoying Green Tea. Farouq Ibrahim entertained the group with his typical jokes and stories while the rest of the guests shared their memorable stories from Saudi Arabia. Everyone loved to opportunity to see old friends and to dine and chat with them. The ladies also enjoyed their company and had long ‘gup-shup’ sessions. Everyone was happy and thankful to ARAP for organizing this get-together, hoping to have similar gatherings again to share smiles and capture happy moments with old but longtime friends.
ARAP is planning the big event of the first half of 2024, “The Eid Millan Party”, on April 27, 2024. More details will be made available to members soon.
