Richard Marshall

Richard "Rick" Marshall, age 67, of Branson, Missouri, passed away October 1, 2023. He entered this life on March 28, 1956, the son of Walter and Ruby (Holt) Marshall in Kansas City, Missouri. Rick was joined in marriage to Christine Patricia Brewer (nee: Wojtan) on August 17, 1991.

Rick earned his bachelor's degree in science from Central State Missouri University in Warrensburg, Missouri. As a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, he gained a lifetime of friendships that continued even unto his last day. Prior to meeting Christine, he worked in the Marshall Islands as a contractor with the U.S. government, where he developed a love for scuba diving. After he left the Marshall Islands, he entered the petroleum industry as a safety engineer, where he lived and worked overseas for 20 years. Rick worked for many companies, including Saudi Aramco, Sadaf/Shell, and BP Amoco, where he met Christine. Having an adventurous soul, Rick and Christine traveled all over the world to over 90 countries, sightseeing and enjoying life together. Together, they gained a lifetime of memories.

As a member of Branson Gospel Sunday Service, Rick developed a love for his Lord and personal relationship with his savior Jesus Christ. He was baptized 8 years ago in the creek that runs by Skyline Baptist Church in Branson. Rick Marshall touched many lives and he will be missed by many.

Rick is survived by his wife of 32 years, Christine Marshall of Branson, Missouri; stepdaughter, Monica (Ed) Sessoms of Plainfield, Illinois; grandchildren: Kyle and Nicole Sessoms of Plainfield, Illinois, Bradley Rowe of Romeoville, Illinois, brother, Mike (Cindy) Marshall of Warsaw, Missouri, nephew, Michael Paul Marshall and his three children, and niece, Mandy (Thatcher) Starling and her one son.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Marshall, and stepson, Fred Brewer III.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Branson Gospel Sunday Service (Hamner's Variety Theater) with Pastor Dave Hamner officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
