Winifred ‘Winnie’ Portmess

Winifred "Winnie" Portmess, 73, passed away Jan. 19, 2007, after a long battle with cancer and diabetes. She was the wife of deceased retiree Robert Portmess.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Winnie married Robert in 1954 and moved to Nevada
and Utah, where they both worked for Kennecott Copper. In 1965, they moved to the Middle East, where Robert worked for the company for 17 years.

Winnie is survived by three sons, Rob, Michael and Stuart; and four grandchildren.
