Dignitaries from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources visit the supertanker Al Bali Star.

After eight months in service and 14 cargo shipments to her credit, the supertanker Al Bali Star played host Sept. 25 to a group from Saudi Aramco’s board of directors and dignitaries from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The visitors were accompanied by Abdullah S. Jum’ah, executive vice president of International Operations, and Dhaifallah A. F. Al-Utaibi, acting business line head of Manufacturing, Supply and Transportation.

Among the board members were five who sit on the company’s Executive Committee: Dr. Abdallah E. Al-Dabbagh, Clifton C. Garvin, Harold J. Haynes, Dr. Abdulaziz S. Al-Jarabou and Rodney B. Wagner.

From the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources were H.E. Usama Trabulsi and H.E. Khader I. Herzallah.

The visit ended with an informal lunch and high marks for the gallery crew. The Master and 25 other officers and crew members then made preparations to load the Al Bali Star’s 15th cargo and begin the 16,000 kilometer (10,000 mile) voyage to storage terminals in Aruba and St. Lucia.
