Dhahran Theatre Group Cookbook, 1993


2/3 Cup dried apricots
1/2 Cup softened butter
1/4 Cup sugar
1 1/3Cup flour
1 Cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Eggs, beaten
1/2 Tsp baking powder
1/4 Tsp salt
1/2 Tsp vanilla
1/2 Cup chopped nuts


Combine butter, sugar and 1 cup of flour until crumbly. Pack into a greased 9” square pan. Bake @ 325?F for 20 minutes.

Beat brown sugar with eggs. Sift remaining 1/3 .cup of flour, salt, baking powder. Add to egg/sugar mixture. Add vanilla, 1/4 cup nuts & apricots. Spread on baked layer & sprinkle with remaining nuts.

Bake again for 20 minutes @ 350?F. Cool 30 minutes and cut into bars. Can be doubled, baked in 9x13” pan and frozen.
