Abdullah S. Al-Suwailem has been appointed as a senior vice president and president and CEO for the Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical (SATORP), effective Jan. 1, 2023. Al-Suwailem has more than 32 years of experience in the Refining & Petrochemical business and has held different managerial and executive positions in Aramco, its affiliates, and joint ventures.
Meshari M. Alshaikhmubarak was appointed as senior vice president of the Office of the Chairman, effective Jan. 1, 2023, after serving in the role of general manager of the Office of the Chairman since December 2019.
Yahya A. Abu Shal was appointed as a senior vice president, effective Jan. 1, 2023. Abu Shal had previously been appointed the CEO of Sadara on Nov. 3, 2022. Previously, he was the general manager of the Jazan Complex from January 2021 to Nov. 2, 2022.
Sulaiman M. Ababtain has been appointed as a senior vice president, effective Jan. 1, 2023, leading SOFON Holding, an admin area in Strategy and Corporate Development. Before assuming this position, he was the president and CEO of the Saudi Aramco TOTAL Refining & Petrochemical Co. (SATORP), since 2018, where the company had achieved highest levels ever in both net income as well as safety performance.
