Henry Philipp Lang, born February 18, 1923, in Kaefertal, Germany, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2017, in Anchorage, Alaska, leaving behind his wife of almost 70 years, Theresia; son, Peter; grandchildren, Kimo, Ninja and Merlin; and great-grandchildren Celeste, Jayson, Faye and Tobias.

He was a 5-year WWII Army veteran who served honorably in the Air Forces, activated several Control Offices in the U.S. and Europe for Air Transport Command; Major USAF retired.

Long time Bay Area resident John L. McBride passed away June 15, 2017 eight months shy of his 100th birthday. He lived a long and fully engaged life - having sailed the South Seas as an eighteen year old sea scout in 1936, serving as a flight instructor in the Army Air Corps during World War II, working briefly for ARAMCO and United Airlines before embarking on a 31 year career at the East Bay Municipal Utility District in Oakland.
Damas Rodriguez, Jr. went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2017. He was born September 14, 1945 in Benavides, Texas to his parents Damas & Maria Rodriguez. He went to San Diego High School and graduated 1964; he then went on to receive a degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&I University in 1969.
Bonnie Hollis Jarrard, 89, died peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Ethel Williams Hollis and Raleigh William Hollis; and by her sister, Anne Exline. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Melissa and her husband, Nidal; her grandson, Eric and his wife, Amber.
Most beloved Fred W. Squires passed peacefully on June 11, 2017 as a result of a stroke. Born in Los Angeles in July 1933, he was raised in Miami and graduated in 1951 from Miami Edison HS, where he participated in sports and was a member of the BF's.
John Wheeler, surrounded by loving family, passed away from complications of Parkinson's disease. He was in the U.S. Airforce from 1946-1949. In 1953, he graduated from Texas A&M as a geological and petroleum engineer.
Dorothy taught in Dhahran elementary schools from 1976-1981 and was a Dhahran Girl Scout leader. In 1981 she moved to Houston, Texas with her husband, Duane and continued teaching until 1993. While teaching in Houston, she was awarded the Crystal Apple Teacher of the Year. She is survived by her husband and children Kristi and Daniel.
