The family lived in Kelso, WA for many years where she attended elementary, middle and high school and graduated with an AA degree from Lower Columbia College in Longview.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne Weed, daughter Susan Weed of Palm City, Florida and his son Steven Weed, his daughter-in-law Medha Weed of Jensen Beach, Florida as well as his three grandchildren Megan Harron of Austin, TX, Parnell and Tyler Crittenden both of Palm City, Florida. He also leaves behind two great grandchildren; Nicholas Crittenden and Roger Harron.
