Pioneering ophthalmologist Dr. John Lorraine Davis III, 81, of Greensboro, NC, died Friday morning, August 25, 2023, due to pneumonia and complications from Parkinson's Disease. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6th at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Greensboro, NC.

Willard D. (Bill) Roper passed away peacefully in his home in Arizona on August 14, 2023. His chemical engineering degree provided many opportunities including the Apollo Moon Landing, the Bio Satellite program (monkey launched into outer space and several other space programs with NASA and JPL.

Jerry Lyn Turner passed away on August 12, 2023, one month before his 92nd birthday. Jerry was born to Marion and Laura Turner in Altus, Oklahoma on September 12, 1931. His family later moved to Fairland, OK, where Jerry grew up.
Eileen Wernsdorfer
Just past noon on August 9, 2023, Eileen Wernsdorfer died peacefully of natural causes, at home in Timonium, Maryland, attended by her three surviving children. She was 96. Mrs. Wernsdorfer wandered far over the course of her life. She grew up in England, emigrated to the United States, then spent 30 years working in Saudi Arabia before retiring to the Baltimore area.
