What a joy to see both of our daughters engaged to such wonderful young men. It truly is an answer to our prayers. During the Christmas Holidays, both of our daughters accepted proposals.
Aramco Annuitants Northern Nevada Holiday Luncheon
This year's Northern Nevada Aramco Annuitants' Christmas Luncheon was held on Sunday, December 8th at the home of Marsha and Roger Lindeken in Reno, Nevada. There were 38 Aramco ExPats in attendance. The most senior ExPats were Dick Hattrup, Hal Wood, Jean Huston and Bill Bartlett. Jan and Scott Conner were the most recent retirees.
Aramco Women Southern Nevada Luncheon - The Start of a New Tradition
On Wednesday, January 15th, 2003, twenty-nine former Aramco ExPat women came together to reminisce about their days of living in Saudi Arabia. Most of the attendees live in Las Vegas and the surrounding area but a few came from Arizona to join us for the afternoon.

Brunton Pocket Transit
The Brunton Pocket Transit that all geologists know as the 'Brunton' was invented in 1894 by D. W. Brunton, a Canadian mining geologist. It has been in use for more than a hundred years and is still being manufactured.
Alidade and Plane Table
The alidade-planetable survey is a means of plotting a traverse as it is made, thus avoiding the likelihood of mathematical blunders and recording errors that arise while working with the theodolite.

Theodolite
The theodolite is an instrument that measures vertical and horizontal angles precisely. With stadia lines etched on the reticule of its telescope and the appropriate stadia rod (a flat-faced rod graduated vertically, its subdivisions corresponding to one/one hundredth of the focal distance) it will measure distances with accuracy sufficient for third order triangulation.

This year’s “old-timers” reunion took place on Dec 1st at the Women’s Athletic Club in Oakland, California. Nine of the 1950’s era Aramco ExPats were in attendance: Dawn and Cliff Flittie, Doris and Mike Wanty, Jean and Walter Dell’Oro, Lloyd Reed, Norah Harriss and Nestor Sander.
