He received his Masters in Structural Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1970. Rehmat Ul Alameen Welfare Organization (RAWO) was established in April 2013 in a small house in Korangi, under the supervision of Col (R) Javed Majid, assisted by Qari Saifullah. The aim of RAWO is to uplift the poor people economically: raise education standards, support them financially, increase their earning capacity and provide a platform to excel further.

The inception of Saaf Paani took place during the “Golden Jubilee Function” of NED69ers in February 2019 in Karachi, Pakistan. As soon as the Saaf Paani was launched, Abdul Majid Adam received 1.1 Million US Dollars as donations from NED69ers, their families, and friends through donation appeals to various Masjids.
Engr. Iqbal Ahmed Khan, along with his daughter Erum Imran, his nieces Saira and Anum Aftab Khan, and Anum’s husband Taimur Barlas went to perform Umrah in the month of February 2023. The plan was quite spontaneous and unplanned. On a normal evening, Iqbal received a phone call from Saira, asking him to accompany her as her mahram on her first Umrah.
