This ivory head from Nimrud, standing 8.7 centimeters tall and originally overlaid with gold foil, could tell tales of Assyrian conquest and, finally, defeat. Discovered by a team led by British archeologist Max Mallowan in 1962 in the ruins of a room likely used to store campaign loot or tribute, it dates from the eighth or ninth century BCE. It is now on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Saudi Aramco’s Uthmaniyah Gas Plant (UGP) has been recognized by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a “Lighthouse” manufacturing facility, a leader in technology applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Saudi Aramco is the first energy company globally to be included in this select group of manufacturing sites. The plant is also the only facility in the Middle East to be recognized by WEF. The announcement was made ahead of WEFs Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

The industry standard testing equipment currently used for screening lost circulation material is limited to simulate fractures only up to 5 mm, whereas there are fractures and vugs more than 50 mm in diameter causing severe lost circulation. The new in-house designed test fixture will be able to simulate fractures/vugs of up to 40 mm. This will enable better screening and evaluation of lost circulation products and timely recommendations for field applications.

All relevant authorities have granted approvals for the transaction which was first announced in August 2018.
